Summer Manley (Catered Beauty)

My name is Raymond L. LaPietra and I am the Founder, CEO of Career Images Model & Talent Agency, Inc., a very-successful model and talent agency I started 30 years ago. I have had the pleasure of working with Summer (Manley) Johnson and Catered Beauty for many years. Summer works as one of my agency make-up and hair artists and she has done many photo-shoots for me and my models. Summer is exceptional in her professionalism and her skills and giftings are in the top 5% of artists that I have worked with. I will continue to work with Summer because of her exceptionalism.

Summer Manley was so fantastic to work with! She returned my call quickly, and was so great at our test hair and make-up application! She listened to my preferences regarding both hair and make-up, and worked to achieve exactly the look I wanted. I didn't want anything too fancy, and wanted half my hair up, but with soft, romantic curls hanging down, and ribbons and a pearl brooch woven in - and she went for it!! She was equally good at listening to what I wanted at my hair color appointment a week before the wedding! The day of my wedding, she arrived on time (at 7:00am!!), and made me look fabulous!! :-) I didn't have a large party getting make-up, so we simply met at her studio, but that was actually good for me - I was able to drive in without feeling as though I needed to manage any last minute details beyond getting into my dress!! My experience with Summer was so fantastic that I intend to use her as my regular hair stylist from now on! I HIGHLY recommend Summer Manley of Catered Beauty!

Summer and her mother were so fantastic! They did the hair and makeup for me, the mothers, and my whole bridal party. She is so knowledgeable, laid back, and flexible, plus does a fantastic job with innovative or unusual hair styles. She worked with me one-on-one before the wedding and created the hair and makeup we would want for the big day. Then, on the wedding day, her and her mother drove to our wedding location and did everyone's hair on-site. They are a well run, highly prepared, highly professional service. They anticipated problems that might arise throughout the wedding (makeup issues when crying, hair curls falling from heat) and gave us education and tools necessary to keep ourselves looking good through the whole event. Even my mother, who is always anxious about having her hair done by anyone new, loved the results and felt relaxed through the whole process. No matter what you are imagining for hair and makeup, this team will make it happen. We couldn't recommend her any more highly.

Summer and her mother are so much fun! We felt like they were part of the party that day in the suite. She was great, and the best value out of everyone I called and looked at. $70 for both hair and make up is an incredible price!

I absolutely loved Summer! My hair and makeup turned out awesome! Her mother and her were absolutely great and everyone was super happy with their hair and make-up! The only reason she isn't a perfect score is because we had to start at 7:30 am even though the wedding wasnÂ’t till 6 pm! She had thought my wedding was in the early afternoon and scheduled a second wedding that she had to leave by noon to get to. I wasnÂ’t too happy about starting so early, but it ended up not being that bad...after we got our make up done, we ordered room service for lunch, sat around for a little bit, then got dressed for pictures! So, in the end it was okay, but it was still really early!
