Photography was one of the most important elements in our wedding and Mike and Karen did a fabulous job producing the beautiful photos that captured our day perfectly! They are professional, organized and prompt in every area before, after and during the wedding. They have an amazing eye for details and captured some of the smallest details I spent hours planning for our wedding. They are easy and fun to work with and are certainly skilled at what they do! Mike and Karen are very professional with their work. Karen was very accommodating and timely in returning emails and keeping me calm during a very hectic time. She was very willing to help with any aspect of the wedding. Mike and Karen have a great eye for picking unique and interesting locations which make for exquisite pictures! We have been very pleased with Heartland Photography's services and would definitely recommend them to any future bride and groom!

Karen and Mike not only produce wonderfully amazing work, but they run a modern-streamlined business that matches their photography talent. The photography in their portfolio's speaks for itself; but the behind-the-scenes is important too - they went above and beyond to scout great locations, capture every important part of the day and had a "sneak peak" up right away on their blog to re-live the memories. Photography was the most important aspect of our wedding (besides our future spouse, of course!). We wanted photographers who would be with us the entire day, but were fun-loving. We got exactly what we wanted - and more - with Heartland Photography!Having a complimentary engagement session with our wedding package was AWESOME! We have so many beautiful photos of the two of us ... and they designed an unbelievably cool engagement guest book. Our guests fawned over it all day! The book is an amazing linen paper with photos fro our engagement session ... and gusts wrote little notes and congrats to us in the space allowed. It is by FAR the coolest guest book I've seen at ANY wedding I've been to! I HIGHLY recommend every couple get an engagement guest book. They are just SO COOL!Two photographers were essential to capture all of the flurry of activity at our wedding. It's not a luxury, it's a necessity! Mike was able to take the guys out and do some awesome photos with them while I dressed and prepared.We opted to see one another before the wedding, and the photographers arranged for a private first look. It was so personal and intimate! I HIGHLY recommend doing a first look. My husband said it was nice to not have 200 people staring at him while he saw me for the first time on our wedding day. :-)After the wedding, we had about 2 hours to take some AMAZING romantic portraits! This was my FAVORITE part of the day! I LOVED spending time enjoying my new spouse! The photographers found some awesome locations and the photos .... are breathtaking.Our wedding guests and family can't stop raving about the wedding photos! Seriously! They ROCK! Some of my married friends say they're MORE excited to see MY wedding photos than they were to see their own! :-)

Karen and Mike are not only AMAZINGLY talented photographers but they are so personable. By the end of the wedding festivities, my entire wedding party was referring to them by name and laughing with them. They managed to be invisible when necessary, but they knew when it was fine to get hands on. They went out of their way to give us the photos we wanted, devoting their entire weekend in L.A. (we flew them in from Kansas) to us, including the rehearsal dinner and a fun photo shoot following the reception. I cannot say enough good things about them and the resulting photos. If you want beautiful, modern, trendy, fresh wedding photos, you won't be sorry with them!

They were prompt with getting back to me w/ plans before the wedding, but after the wedding still emailed me back soon, but the album would be sent to us til after a year after the wedding

We absolutely LOVED Heartland Photography - would recommend to EVERYONE looking to document their special day. I was so sick of seeing the same old wedding pictures, boring and blah. I went searching for a phenomenal team-style photographer, and found THE most amazing!I worked with Karen a lot before the wedding - submitting ideas, asking questions, getting feedback. She came to Dodge City to take our engagement pics a few months before the wedding, and then was joined by Mike on the actual wedding day.It's so nice to have two photographers on the big day, and they work so well together - seamless compatibility. One would be posing/taking pics of the bridal party, and without us even noticing, the other was getting candid pics, close-ups, or funky angled-pics that ended up being some of our favorites!These two were involved with us the ENTIRE DAY - literally. Karen was with us girls at 8 a.m. when we arrived at the hair salon, and she and Mike didn't leave til after everyone else did (12:45 a.m.) While we were having a ball at the reception, they were bouncing here and there, very unobtrusively getting amazing shots of the action. Toward the end of the reception they had set up a slide show with a few pics from the day - it was great for the guests to see a sneak preview of the awesome moments they captured.They also do families, babies/bellies, senior pics, etc - I will definitely keep their card on file and use them a few years down the road when we start building a family.If you are looking for a great photographer for your wedding day, look no further - book Heartland Photography NOW before somebody else does!

Only one word can describe their work: PHENOMENAL! There were two photographers to cover the WHOLE day from getting hair done in the morning, through the end of dance celebration that evening. They have an eye for detail and the pictures definitely show that. See their website! When I look back at the pictures, I feel like I'm right there again, celebrating the moment. The pictures were better than I had ever dreamed, and we even received a complimentary photo signed by the photographers! Our family and friends keep asking-"Who's your photographer? The pictures look awesome!"Additionally, the photographers were easy to work with and very understanding of what we as a couple wanted. They are creative, fun, and enthusiastic. I HIGHLY recommend this company-whether it's for a wedding or any celebration--you won't be disappointed.

We were very please with Heartland Photography. They captured things from our wedding day that I never would have remember or maybe even didn't see was going on. I get compliments constantly on our wedding pictures.
